Internet Privacy Statement

You are important to us so we take special care to maintain your trust.

KSCFCU is committed to protecting your privacy online. You are important to us so we take special care to maintain your trust.

The following Privacy statement is provided to help you understand how your personal information will be treated as you visit our web site and use our services.

When does KSCFCU collect my personally identifiable information?

KSCFCU gathers information from members and visitors primarily in four ways: voluntary registration, cookie technology, IP addresses, and communication.

Registrations/Applications

When you register for accounts or services, or enroll in certain services associated with online banking, you provide personal information that is necessary for us to provide this service to you. All information provided to us through online banking remains confidential, the information is sent to us in a "secure session" established with Secure Socket Layer (SSL). On occasion, we may also collect information if you choose to participate in a survey or promotion.

Cookies

Cookies simulate a continuous connection to a web site. This makes it more convenient for users by allowing them to visit pages within a site without having to reintroduce themselves with each mouse click. Cookies are a requirement for Personal Credit Union to function properly. If you have configured your browser not to accept cookies, you may not be able to use certain portions of our site.

IP Address

An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer automatically when you use the Internet. When you visit a particular page on KSCFCU's site, our servers log your IP address. We may log IP addresses for the purposes of systems administration, or to report information in aggregate to senior management and/or members of our Board of Directors (e.g., how many visitors logged on to our web site on any given day). We also use IP addresses to monitor user traffic patterns and site usage to help us further develop and improve our web site and our services. We do not link your IP address to anything personally identifiable about you.

Communication

When you send us personally identifying information in an email transmission, for example, we use the information to fulfill or respond to your request. We gather email addresses from the membership for a few reasons. Having your email address in our system gives KSCFCU representatives alternate means of communicating important information in the event you could not be reached by phone. We also use your email address to communicate important information concerning Personal Credit Union online banking, services associated with online banking, and other Credit Union products and services. For example, we are required to notify you by electronic means that your electronic statement is available for viewing. KSCFCU will preserve the content of your email, the email address, and our response.

Who does KSCFCU share information with?

In general, we will not disclose your personally indentifiable information to third parties except to the extent necessary to provide you with a service you have explicitly requested such as the Personal Credit Union online banking service, or the BillPayer service, or under circumstances required by law. We will disclose your personally identifiable information when we believe in good faith that any applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes require it, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the rights of another user. KSCFCU is partnered with certain vendors and service providers with which we have links to their site. Occasionally, we provide these third parties with mailing lists that they use to promote their products and services (for example, Enterprise Car Sales, Nationwide Insurance, Cuna Mutual Insurance). Please be aware that we do not control the privacy policies of other third party sites to which we provide a banner ad or a link. If you submit your name to a third party, you will be subject to their own privacy policies. We assume no responsibility or liability for these third party policies or the actions of nonaffiliated third parties.

KSCFCU recognizes the importance of privacy/security on the Internet and the protection of member information and accounts are of the highest priority and cannot be compromised.
